Magazine Project

1.To deomonstrate you awareness of shutters FIND a photograph of moving water (or some other moving object) that has been taken with a fast shutter speed to freeze the motion and another that was taken with a slower shutter speed that turned the water into a soft mass. The two pictures should be of similar subjects.

2. Pick two (2) photographs that you find very interesting.  For each of them write a short essay type evaluation touching on what the purpose was in taking the picture, what was the subject, was depth of field used to create special effects, how did lighting contribute to the photo composition, what type of lens seems to have been used, what technical difficulties in lighting, shutter or aperture control do you think were overcome by the photographer and what part did being in the right place at the right time (luck) have to do with the photo success...in short write about what you know and can see from this photo about what it says and how it was made.
