During the 18 weeks of this class SCHS students will be leaving the supervision of the classroom to go out on campus to get photographs for their assignments.  The following rules are expected to be followed by each students in class when outside of the photo lab. Failure to follow these will result in suspension of priviledges to leave the lab and all future work will be thus required to be done outside of class on your own time.

(1) Students must get permission before leaving the room. Students must find Mr. Wills and get verbal acknowledgement that it is OK to leave the room. Students activity will be recorded in a log either by Mr. Wills on the computer or by sign up on a clip board by the desk. When returning to the room students must check in. 

(2) All students must check out - No students may leave the room by either the front or back door for even a few minutes to get fresh air or a drink without first getting permission. Students who are found just walking back in who have not signed out will be given detention or have their field work priviledge removed.

(3) When outside of class students must stay on campus unless they ask for permission to leave campus before leaving the room. Students who do get such permission must remain on foot and may not use their cars. Permission to leave campus will only be given if students have a parent permission slip on file. Permission to leave campus will only be given once per week maximum. Most assignments can be done on campus easily.  Definition of on campus is within site of the school which allows some direction to go off of the actual grounds to get some interesting angles, etc.

(4) When out on campus students are reminded to honor the privacy of those who are in class. Do NOT take a photograph of the security guards (Chackanaka) without getting permission first. Do NOT go into another classroom or talk with students who are in class. Some classes have windows to the outside - photo students are not to wave or disrupt classes in any way.

(5) Leaving class is a priviledge. Reports of any student just using that time to hang out on campus or socialize with other students instead of doing assignments will result in loss of the priviledge to leave class. Students out on campus will be required to have a camera on their possession when contacted by security. Students who go to the library or restroom will need to take a camera hall pass with them. If you leave in a group and finish with your work you must remain with the group or return to the lab.

(6) Regular school rules apply when outside of photo. It is NOT ok to skateboard on campus, even for doing a motion photograph assignment.

BUT - most of all - do have fun when out doing photographs. We have a beautiful old campus with some interesting spots to shoot. You will easily be able to do most of your assignments while following these rules.
