The Basic Digital Photography class can be taken by any student at most any grade level with great success. Students learn the basics of photography primarily through projects that build skill over the life of the course. Students can use any camera and any software to manage these assignments.
The Intermediate Photography Couse, however, is intended for students with a desire and the equipment to move into greater depth in the technology of photography. The Intermediate Class goes into assignments and lessons that require a DSLR or a bridge camera that can adjust the exposure in manual mode.
Students will work with composition, photo critiques, exposure and theory of color and lighting that is part of the exposure process. Work with the flash both internal and external and special work with the challenges of night time or action photography are covered in this class. Photojournalism and career choices will be discussed in this class which is intended to be a bridge between beginning photographers and more advanced study in college or junior college.
This course can be taken by students with anywhere from no prior experience to some experience, perhaps even a Basic Photo class, as the course covers all the key details and does not assume previous knowledge until students complete the review of the basics incorporated in the class. More time and effort is required on this course than the Basic Course so students need to be serious about their committment. The result will be some great skills that you can use to build on toward a career or a great hobby.
