We are likely to have a horizon line in Santa Cruz. IF you have one in your photo it will look best if it is placed one thirds up from the bottom of the photo. Avoid putting it in the center. Keep it LEVEL. When one side is higher than the other it adds to the emotion of the photo and increases the action of the photo. This may not be something you want.
