Photography is also FUN. I started when I was 12 taking pictures with my dad and grampa and making prints in a darkroom we had in a basement in our house. The thrill of seeing an image appear in the chemicals is a lot of fun. It eventually led to a part time job while I was in school doing work for a newspaper. Most of all the discipline required to get the picture to tell a story will help you in all of the things you study as you move on past high school.
