Total cost for this 18 week class will be about $50 or roughly 55¢ per day. Your big expense will be for film and paper the first week at $20, then the rest of the cost will come over a 17 week period.
IF you can not afford materials you have two options. One is to drop the class and move into a cheaper elective. The other is to ask for financial assistance. There are 4 scholarships per class available. These will give you your photo paper and one roll of film to allow you time to save 50¢ per day for your next few rolls of film. These student scholorships are for students willing to be a class aid and work with darkroom set up and management and to be a helper for the teacher. Experience has shown me in the past that when materials were totally free that students just wasted them, so nothing will be free in this class.
