Slide 10 of 23
Notes:
The school has 10 cameras and 10 enlargers as well as 10 computers for your use. Class has been designed for a maximum of 30 students with your work being done in a team of 3. Actual enrollment has been more like 35 so we will need to share more. Camera equipment is only used during class time and will not be available for over night use except on a few special assignments towards the end of the class. . Not returning a camera on time at the end of class can result in not be allowed to use our camera equipment in the future. Breaking a camera can be costly as repairs will be your responsibility unless the camera just wore out from being used so much. I can tell the difference between damage and wear and tear.
You will also need to provide the supplies used just by you. We supply the chemicals but your supply the film (TRI-X 24 shot) at about $3.45 per roll. You will need one roll next week and then a second in about one more week. All in all you will need about 8 rolls. In addition you will need a package of 8x10 Ilfospeed Contrast #3 single weight photo paper at a cost of about $16. To hold your negatives you will need to buy negative holders which are about 25¢ each. Total cost for class is about $50. Cost will not all come at once and you are welcome to request assistance if this is a burden.
