Notes:
All your assignments are found on the assignment board by the darkroom door. Look at this daily and notice that work is always going to be due on a Friday, so you will always have a weeks notice. Work required for the entire class can also be found on the web site should you desire to work ahead of schedule. Because this is an activity class it is important that you do NOT miss class. Work missed is difficult to make up unless you have a darkroom. IF you are absent for an extended period of time and have access to the Internet you can look to the web site to at least do the reading portion of your work and the magazine portion, but, the time in the darkroom makes up over 60% of this class so try to be in class every day if possible.
What happens if the darkroom is full? - as we get close to a deadline everyone who has put off their work until the last day finds that there just is not enough space in the darkroom for everyone to work. This class requires students to plan ahead. Look at the assignments and plan how you are going to use your film. Plan which order you are going to do projects and if one runs into a problem set a time right away to try it again. Don't waste time or it will catch up to you at the end. This need to keep track of your assignments and getting organized is one of the hidden goals of this class. Learning how to pace your work and how to change plans when problems come up will help in what ever you go into in the future.
